Make a Difference with International Medical Volunteering at Hope Alive Clinic

Are you passionate about providing medical care to those who need it most? The Hope Alive Clinic offers a life-changing opportunity for individuals and teams to engage in medical volunteering abroad, where your skills can directly impact the health and well-being of vulnerable communities. Situated in a poor urban area, the clinic is a beacon of hope for families who often lack access to even the most basic healthcare services. By volunteering here, you become part of a mission to deliver compassionate, quality care to those who need it most.

At the Hope Alive Clinic, volunteers work alongside local medical professionals to provide critical services, including consultations, treatments, and health education. From assisting with prenatal care and vaccinations to supporting patients with chronic illnesses, every task contributes to building a healthier community. Whether you’re a doctor, nurse, medical student, or simply have a heart to serve, there are diverse medical volunteer opportunities tailored to your skills and experience. This hands-on experience allows you to make a tangible impact while learning about healthcare delivery in a challenging but rewarding environment.

Volunteering at Hope Alive Clinic goes beyond treating symptoms—it’s about building relationships. You’ll have the chance to connect with patients and their families, offering not just medical assistance but also emotional and spiritual support. By working closely with the community, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of their unique needs and challenges, fostering a sense of purpose and fulfillment. These international medical volunteering experiences are as transformative for the volunteers as they are for the people they serve.

Who Can Volunteer at Hope Alive Clinic?
We welcome volunteers with a wide range of qualifications and skills to serve at the clinic. If you’re a licensed medical professional, such as a doctor, nurse, midwife, or therapist, your expertise is invaluable to the work we do. Medical students, nursing students, and other healthcare trainees are also encouraged to volunteer and gain practical, hands-on experience under the supervision of our experienced team. Even if you’re not in the medical field but are passionate about health advocacy, administrative assistance, or patient support, there are ways for you to contribute meaningfully. Compassion and a willingness to serve are the most important qualifications.

Your time at the clinic is also an opportunity to grow professionally and personally. For medical students and professionals, volunteering abroad provides valuable exposure to healthcare in resource-limited settings, enhancing your ability to adapt and innovate. For non-medical volunteers, the experience fosters compassion and a global perspective on health equity. The Hope Alive Clinic provides a supportive environment where every volunteer is valued and empowered to make a meaningful contribution.

Ready to embark on a journey of service and transformation? Join us at the Hope Alive Clinic for an unforgettable experience in global medical volunteering. Whether you’re here for a week or a month, your time will leave a lasting impact on the lives you touch and the community you serve. Come and be a part of a story of hope, healing, and restoration. Start your medical volunteer adventure today and help bring life-changing care to those who need it most!

LODGING AND COST
What is the cost?
A girl holding a bright orange sign that says 'Welcome"
30 days or less :  $50 USD / person / night or $110 USD for a family. (We want families to serve and know with kids it can be difficult to pay for everything. So... our price is the same no matter how many kids you have!!!!
More than 30 days and less than 3 months : Your cost of the stay is $35 USD / person / night or $90 USD for a family.
What it covers : Your payment covers the following costs.  Airport pickup/drop off, Lodging, Meals, all ministry opportunities and an experience of a lifetime (you probably will be back!)
What doesn't cover : Your ticket and any activities you would like to do while here. We also have people who will do special things for kids, staff or families like bringing them out to eat. Of course, this is entirely optional.
What about the food?
Children lined up to get food.
We know your asking the same thing the boy in the picture... "What's for dinner?"  We know, food can be the thing that makes or breaks a trip. We give you an experience of what local food tastes like along with serving favorite dishes of people who visit.
Being honest, once in a while we get complaints about the food though... "I am going to gain weight while I am here!!!". Haha. It is true though! Breakfasts are usually eggs, omelets, French toast and pancakes. Lunch, we let you try Filipino food (usually visitors favorite meals!) and then in the evening we do more western type food (Lasagna and Chicken Pesto Pasta are two of my personal favorites)
Not convinced? OK. Here is a link to our menu. It may change occasional, but it will give you the general idea.

Probably the most common question... What is the lodging like? I am going to the Philippines and am pretty nervous. Will it be comfortable and safe?
Answer... YES. Although our ministry is located right in the middle of the community we serve, it is on its own compound and very controlled. We have a pool... YES! Cool off at night and go down the large slide and jump off the 25 ft jump into the pool! Hang out on the porch in the morning and have some coffee before going out on a feeding.
Click on the pictures:  see them full screen. We have 16 bedrooms and a dorm area. We have enough space to easily handle 60 - 100 people. Each room has A/C and a heated shower.
