Join a Life-Changing Medical Mission Trip at Hope Alive Clinic

Are you passionate about using your medical skills to make a real difference? Hope Alive Clinic is not just a place to volunteer—it’s a way to make a difference both physically and spiritually. We are on a mission to bring life-saving healthcare to those who have little to no access to medical services. By joining this mission trip, you are answering a call to serve, bringing hope and healing to individuals and families in desperate need of care.

Situated in a poor urban area, the Hope Alive Clinic is a beacon of hope for vulnerable communities that often struggle with preventable diseases, lack of prenatal care, and untreated chronic conditions. This is more than just volunteering abroad—it’s an opportunity to be part of a medical mission that transforms lives. Your time and expertise can provide critical care to patients who might otherwise go untreated, making a lasting impact in their lives and in the community.

Be the Hands of Healing in a Community That Needs You

As a volunteer at Hope Alive Clinic, you will work alongside local medical professionals, offering essential services such as medical consultations, treatments, vaccinations, maternal care, and chronic disease management. Whether you are a doctor, nurse, midwife, therapist, medical student, or an aspiring healthcare professional, there is a place for you. Even if you are not in the medical field but have a heart to serve, you can contribute through patient advocacy, administrative support, and health education.

This mission trip is about more than just treating symptoms—it’s about holistic care. Volunteers connect deeply with patients and their families, providing not only medical assistance but also emotional and spiritual support. You will witness firsthand the resilience of the people you serve, and in return, you’ll gain invaluable experience in global healthcare, cross-cultural communication, and resourceful problem-solving in low-resource settings.

Who Can Join This Medical Mission?

We welcome:

- Licensed medical professionals (doctors, nurses, midwives, therapists, etc.) who want to use their expertise in a meaningful way.

- Medical and nursing students seeking hands-on experience in a real-world clinical setting.

- Healthcare trainees looking for exposure to medical missions and global health work.

- Non-medical volunteers passionate about health advocacy, administrative support, and patient care.

Compassion, commitment, and a willingness to serve are the most important qualifications.

Why Choose a Medical Mission Trip at Hope Alive Clinic?

This isn’t just another volunteer experience—it’s an opportunity to be part of a mission that changes lives. For medical professionals and students, this is an unparalleled opportunity to practice medicine in a resource-limited environment, enhancing your adaptability, clinical skills, and cultural competency. For all volunteers, it’s a chance to grow personally and professionally while making a tangible impact on health equity.

LODGING AND COST
What is the cost?
A girl holding a bright orange sign that says 'Welcome"
30 days or less :  $50 USD / person / night or $110 USD for a family. (We want families to serve and know with kids it can be difficult to pay for everything. So... our price is the same no matter how many kids you have!!!!
More than 30 days and less than 3 months : Your cost of the stay is $35 USD / person / night or $90 USD for a family.
What it covers : Your payment covers the following costs.  Airport pickup/drop off, Lodging, Meals, all ministry opportunities and an experience of a lifetime (you probably will be back!)
What doesn't cover : Your ticket and any activities you would like to do while here. We also have people who will do special things for kids, staff or families like bringing them out to eat. Of course, this is entirely optional.
What about the food?
Children lined up to get food.
We know your asking the same thing the boy in the picture... "What's for dinner?"  We know, food can be the thing that makes or breaks a trip. We give you an experience of what local food tastes like along with serving favorite dishes of people who visit.
Being honest, once in a while we get complaints about the food though... "I am going to gain weight while I am here!!!". Haha. It is true though! Breakfasts are usually eggs, omelets, French toast and pancakes. Lunch, we let you try Filipino food (usually visitors favorite meals!) and then in the evening we do more western type food (Lasagna and Chicken Pesto Pasta are two of my personal favorites)
Not convinced? OK. Here is a link to our menu. It may change occasional, but it will give you the general idea.

Probably the most common question... What is the lodging like? I am going to the Philippines and am pretty nervous. Will it be comfortable and safe?
Answer... YES. Although our ministry is located right in the middle of the community we serve, it is on its own compound and very controlled. We have a pool... YES! Cool off at night and go down the large slide and jump off the 25 ft jump into the pool! Hang out on the porch in the morning and have some coffee before going out on a feeding.
Click on the pictures:  see them full screen. We have 16 bedrooms and a dorm area. We have enough space to easily handle 60 - 100 people. Each room has A/C and a heated shower.
