Making Right what is Wrong

Updated: May 19, 2021

...I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do:

I will not forsake them. But those who trust in idols, who say to images, 'You are our gods,' will be turned back in utter shame.(Isaiah 42:16-17)

During the first quarter of 2021, a good number of cohabiting couples came to us and said: "we want to be wed officially. We want to make right what we did wrong"

Most of these couples are ordinary people like us from Mindanao. They came to Manila to find jobs, decided to start a family, but since the stigma of the cost of marriage is so strong, they decided to cohabit and wait for the "right time" to get an official wedding. Right time for them is the time when they can save enough money for the wedding. This right time did not come and they find themselves cohabiting for at least 5 years, 8 years, and 20 years.

We thank God that before coming to KIDS INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES, Philippines He allowed us to be trained on how to facilitate such kind of ministry. I was ordained as a pastor and was given a license to solemnize wedding. Along with that, I got the support from Over the Edge Philippines an organization with a partnership with the government on Moral Recovery Program. This is a new platform of ministry for us. Jean and me are doing pre-marital orientation and counseling(PMOC), after which I can solemnize their wedding at a very simple celebration. We basically are doing the community ministry and discipling people out there as commanded by the Lord in Isaiah 42:16-17(Quoted Above).

We are looking at when the Covid-19 restrictions could be over, we will finally be doing the wedding of all these couples and help them living a real life in Christ. It is a privilege yet very humbling how the Lord had entrusted to us these couples.

As part of this team, I invite you to pray continually. Jean and I are in the battle front where the fighting is fiercest. We could be in trouble (again), with Covid-19 is still around. We are doing the necessary protocols, but our trust is solely with God alone. You are part of what we are doing and we know hat without you being used by God, we can not endure. Thank you for your support!

Sincerely yours,

Bobot and Jean Migraso
