Vision: Jesus Christ in Every Family

Updated: Feb 16, 2021

Bill Gates' amazing vision statement for Microsoft went like this: " A Computer In Every Home". A very simple statement, yet easy to remember, almost needs no effort and time to memorize.

Did that vision statement became a reality when Bill Gates spoke of that in the mid 90's?

´“ Good leaders have vision and inspire others to help them turn vision into reality. Great leaders create more leaders, not followers. Great leaders have vision, share vision, and inspire others to create their own.”

´― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart We can chose to knock every door of every home to see if that vision happened, but as we notice, we are swamped with computers...not only " A Computer..." but two or thrice or multiple computers in every home not to mention the smart phones that is a total replica of desk tops and laptops inside our pockets. What a vision, that encompasses the change of times and generations! My salute to Bill Gates!

The church for several years had adopted the corporations' way of bringing people to a destination. Your church and my church have employed Vision, Mission, and Goal statements to guide our doings, to be sure that we can do more with less - less finances with less effort in empowering the church toward fruitfulness. Vision, Mission, and Goal Statements plus the power of the Holy Spirit, supposedly give the church the edge to be more fruitful and reaching surely to a particular destination.

This is the Family Ministry Team beefed up by life scarred believers along with the KIMPhilippines National Director Norman Denler that would carry through the Vision and Mission that we have crafted. The team went into a Retreat last February 14-15th, sacrificing the Valentines Day celebrations that they could have enjoyed. They are committed to the Vision and Mission as well as each other.

May we sit down and see whether for the past several years we have arrived as stated in our VMG. If we have, it is time to celebrate with God! If not, it is time to revisit or examine the trueness of our VMG, or in fact, we have to make one or, we need to eradicate if it makes rival with the work of the Holy Spirit. After all, the Holy Spirit is the final guide and the one who checks our hearts and motives. Let us just be sure when we revisits our VMG, that it has to be align with what the Triune God wants for us to do!

Just reflecting this morning with the Family Ministry Vision, Mission and Goal.
