A Home, a Sanctuary of love and grace

A House is not necessarily a Home

Family Ministry Fellowship-2 July 19, 2020

God in our Home; God in our City Psalm 127 NIV 1 Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. A house is a structure, a home is about people of love and grace It takes a king to build a palace. A rich man to build a mansion, a good architect to plan a structure, an expert carpenter to execute a plan, but it takes God to make a home. FOOD is from GOD 2 In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat— for he grants sleep to those he loves. Food is coming from God, not because of our labor. Sleep well, don’t waste sleep. It is a gift from God. Don’t use all your hours looking for food. Discovering the CHILDREN 3 Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Value your children, they are from the Lord. No man can make man. They are reward from God. 4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Children are like arrows: polished for a purpose, a greater goal, an ultimate direction 5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court. QUIVER, every man’s capacity Man is blessed when his quiver is full of arrows. It can protect him. Man, look at your quiver, have it ready for challenging times. Questions: Small Group 1. Is your house a home? 2. How do you describe your family? 3. How are we dealing our children?
