Mold Me, Use Me, Send Me...

June 28 - July 8, 2013, Central Park and Statue Square Park, Hong Kong

Mold me, Use me, Send me… for your glory. I have been praying since the start of the year 2013 that God will use me mightily for the advancement of His kingdom. When I heard that there is an open door for me to share the Gospel to my fellow Filipinos in Hong Kong, I knew that this is the answer to my prayer. For 10 days, I learned more about myself and what are the things that I can do. I connected with my loving team mates and get to know them more. And also, I developed my trust to God more.

I grew up in a church that exists for two reasons – To Honor God and make disciples. And this is the same reason why I joined this trip. Christ saved me by sending someone to reach out to me. God used people to help me understand how He loves me. I want to share my life and how it was changed when I accepted Him. Christ loves us and He sacrificed for us. I believe that as I accepted the greatest gift that I can receive, it is my duty to share it to other people. Thus, making Him known is my greatest goal in this trip.

Together with 5 other Filipinos and 1 Filipina at heart, we spent 10 days in Hong Kong encouraging and praying for our “Kababayans”.

(Kababayan is a Tagalog word that means fellow Filipino, countryman, or townmate.)

Meet my Teammates: (L-R) : Christopher Lee, Rona Soria, Angelica Seletaria, Abby Almella, Hannah Garcia and Daisy Chell. We are all working at the KIM

PREPARATION

In addition to our personal things, we brought “Boy Bawang” (Filipino Snack), more than 400 Tagalog Bibles and Salvation Bracelets. These served as our “Pasalubong”. The Bibles were generously given by the Generics Pharmacy. The salvation bracelets were made by the mothers in the Cuatro Community. This bracelet making serves as an additional source of income for them.

Miracles from our Provider

12 hours before our flight, the team is not yet 100 percent when it comes to our financial goal. We are still short and we already send letters and exerted all our efforts to raise. As a team, we trusted that God will fill up our needs and our short comings.

After the Commissioning, God already answered our plea. A team from the US blessed us so much. Talking about sharing your overflowing blessings. This team is also short of their financial support before leaving the states, but they trusted God that it will be provided. Before they left for Philippines, they counted their money and it was overflowing. They prayed and the Holy Spirit led them to help in our goal. Thank you Lord!

Waking up early for our team devotions is a hard thing. But waking up seeing this majestic view is AWESOME!!! Thank you Lord for reminding me to be enthusiastic about our work. That our work is from you and you have trusted us (Luke 16:10-12); That you are watching us, even when no one else is (2 Timothy 2:15) and our attitude determines our joy (Proverbs 12:24)

Praying and sharing the Word of God to our fellow Filipinos in Hong Kong using the Salvation Bracelet is very inspiring and life changing. I also learned that in everything we do for God, He will always answer us. I was sharing the salvation bracelet to a group of Filipinos when one lady in the group keeps on smiling. She expressed that two of my team mates already shared Salvation to her and she has a bracelet and a Bible. Then the amazing thing happened, she requested if she can be the one to share the meaning of the bracelet. She was able to explain the symbolism of the colors and she led them to prayer! Wow, indeed if there is a seed thrown, there will be harvest!

On this trip, I did not only learn and share more about God but I experienced His love And His presence. And this is an experience I cannot bear to keep to others. This is worth more than anything else. To God be the honor and praise.

Please continue to pray that as I grow deeper to Him, I will be able to lead more.

7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 9 For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
- 1 Corinthians 3:7 NIV
