FAMILY MINISTRY in the era of Pandemic

One of the realizations we have these days is that Covid will definitely and permanently be part of the list of illnesses anyone can get contracted anytime. On a logical level, we need vaccination. There is also a need to embrace the fact that it is present in our environment and it is unlikely to go away. This is the only way we could be relaxed and have peace. Of course, trusting God is much needed.

Our UPDATE:

In the midst of our situation, Jean and I are on a modest move of reaching out to people in the hope of sharing our hope in Jesus. We continue conducting Pre-Marital Orientation and Counseling to those unwed couples in the community who are cohabiting for years. We are now doing the second batch. For the past four(4) months we solemnized four couples after which we group them to become a Small Discipleship Group leading to making a “Church without Walls” in the area.

We thank the Lord for allowing us to form and maintain two outreaches so far. Pennylane and Parkridge Bible Study Groups, are the groups that the Lord has entrusted to us. Usually we gather in small homes, sometimes we gather in a front yard, as long as everyone is ‘comfortable’. Ministering to these underprivilege communities is challenging yet fulfilling. One of our prayers is to buy a property to give these communities a permanent place to live the rest of their lives. We thank you also for supporting us for doing the work in the ministry. You are playing a BIG role in this ministry.

For Family Ministry to go full circle, we don’t only discuss about emotional, social and spiritual things. We teach them finding ways to keep up with the fast rising needs for the family.

“Life is becoming more difficult nowadays, we need to rise from our feet…let’s make a BIG garden. Let’s plant Bitter Gourd and other vegetables.” I said to them.

We thank God that an idle land for months was lent to us without rent. The garden that we started to develop is a pilot project. If the Lord will give us success I will have the group

venture into a more bigger farm so we can create employment and be able to develop a wider community not only spiritually but economically. This is what the Lord has placed in our hearts as we help these people. Help us pray that the Lord will continue to provide what we need during this time as we continue ministering His people. Claim with us Isaiah 49:23b:
