September 12, 2018, was more than a ceremonial groundbreaking event…it signified a groundbreaking move in the life of a community to break free from the confines of poverty and take hold of the opportunity for transformation.
Students, teachers, school board members, community leaders—including our city mayor who shared a motivational message to the community, Kids International Ministry missionaries and donors were all there to celebrate what God has done in giving land and giving a vision of a complete high school for grades 7 to 12 with the goal of having a state-of-the-art Science and Technology Center in it.
Prior to the ceremony, Cuatro Christian School students went to the site of their future high school to begin breaking up and clearing the ground for the special event. It was hard physical work, but they were getting a taste of a dream coming true. (Students breaking ground video.)
Here are comments of the students as they process this groundbreaking event. (These are the students’ own words in English.)

The groundbreaking ceremony is everybody's dream come true.” - Angel Miles Zaldivar
“This was one of the most amazing thing that happened to me. I realized that we may not see God, but we can see him working through sponsors, true people who supports the school and administrators. Many times in my life I wonder how God will help me in my study, but now I see that blessing is ahead of me and also I am not the only one blessed but also a lot of people I know.” - Genesis Escolano
“God is alive and he is moving, he never leaves the CCS and he is the foundation of it. God touches the heart of many people around the world and many people believe to our school’s vision and mission. “I have realized many things from the Groundbreaking Ceremony yesterday. I’ve realized that if God wants to do something in our lives, He himself will make a way to accomplish it. And that’s what is happening, He wants to use our school, CCS, to make an impact to the lives of others, not only to the students but also to the community. My heart melts because I see that there are still people who loves God and willing to sacrifice money and efforts for the good of others. I pray that God will continually bless and help the school to make an impact to the lives of many people and may our school proclaim the great glory of the Lord.” - Rhon Ashley Espidillon

I also realize that God allow this to happen by using many people and we can see that God has a purpose for this school, He is letting everyone know His great name. Glory to Him.” - Leonica Occidental
